First Press Release, General Information 4-1-2006 Update: Our Host: |
The Pride In the Arts Festival 2006 will have the benefit of nature's art to backdrop our GLBTI Artist's offerings, thanks to Longfork. Take a minute to visit the Longfork website for all information on making your stay at Longfork the most enjoyable possible. Your reservations may be placed while you visit.
The Pride in The Arts Festival 2006
Serenely situated and surrounded by unspoiled mountainous beauty, the
Festival will provide a unique alternative to urban Pride celebrations.
First and foremost, this is a camping event. (Hotels are located close by
for alternate arrangements. Day Passes will be available for those
not camping.)
The Festival is family friendly. By that, we mean you may bring your children to the Festival. As in all cases you are responsible for your child. We will have entertaining areas for children, but please do bring along some items to assist in times when the child is bored with us. We want everyone to have a wonderful time. All public areas are clothing required at all hours during the Festival.
There will be a current calendar of artists and events here. Our goal is to create an all-arts inclusive festival. Complete with music, visual arts exhibits, performance arts, authors and book signings. There will be an ongoing Film Festival in which guests and artists may view films and vote for the Festival Favorite.
All events such as concerts and exhibits are included in event camping charges and or day pass charges. Of course many of the artists will have their artwork available for sale. What a great way to beat the Holiday rush and support your arts community at the same time.
StoneWall Society's original focus being total equality, we ask that all guests and artists respect the equality of all in modes of personal conduct and behavior. Guests and artists may bring their own alcoholic beverages to the Festival, we ask that you keep your other festival family in mind while enjoying your favorite legal libation.
