And the Nominees are ..... see the nominee list with links to nominee website

Voting has closed 12:01am eastern time on 2-27-2010

Voting opened for this category on 2-12-2010. Voting was closed on 2-26-2010, actually just after midnight on 2-27-2010.
Recipients will be announced 3-21-2010 on Rainbow World Radio at 8pm eastern time, then posted here. There is a large interest in an awards show with artist participation on the part of artists and voters. So the date reflects time I need to do production work to facilitate a worthy presentation. Took a bit longer than I expected to contact necessary resources. And.... I cannot do on the 15th of March as I stated earlier. In my excitement of the PITA's and response, I neglected to keep March 15th open to celebrate my anniversary of thirty years with Chris.  Yeesh old age eh?

February 26, 2010 UPDATE!
A program crash caused  a large data loss. PITA Music votes and OutVoice Votes are fine as stored in another area. January 2010 OutVoice Ballots have been recovered. Unfortunately the ballots for the Video Awards were part of the data lost. Rather than utilize partial ballots the entire process for the Video Awards will be started again with the next awards this year.  Email is part of the lost area, if you need to contact me do so at len@stonewallsociety.net

All artists listed in appropriate categories at the StoneWall Society Free GLBTI Artists Promotion and soon at GLBT Artists are eligible to participate in the awards. Over 3,000 participated in the determination process in the last awards.

The Pride In The Arts  is a fan driven program. Nominees are determined by public vote. Recipients are determined by count of fan votes received during the specified time period.

Our artists include members of the GLBTI community and artists which support our community and thus Human Equality. By participating in the PITA Awards you the voters and the artists are supporting Human Equality. That concept alone IS art!

Through art it is our hope that all may find the common ground of creativity of which we should build a more balanced community in the world.
